The American people put their representatives in Congress to do the right thing when the chips are down. The American economy is in the worst predicament since the Depression and needs their elected officials to take action. Instead, these people can't see beyond finger-pointing and protecting their behinds. By not passing a bailout bill today, they have increased the risk of runaway panic. Today, the Dow dropped over 700 points. Tonight's the beginning of a Jewish holiday and the Jewish members of Congress will celebrate by not being present to push forward a resolution to the impass of the bailout bill. I hate to say it but the stock and credit markets can't be put on hold! Congress must step up to the plate and pass a bill tomorrow, holiday or not!
