I was reading some news on CNET this morning, when i saw their new (new for me) visual content engine powered by LIVEPLASMA.com

This is something very cool indeed. You can see a connection diagram based on related stories from the site and the companies/technology around them.


I will be playing with this a bit today and I hope to talk to the folks at liveplasma and soon. Blogtronix may offer this as a service to our customers as well. The thing about this engine is not just the way the data is represented, but it is all about the data source. Since Blogtronix makes the creation of data content source easy and it can be blogs, wikis, docs, rss, profiles, connections, an engine like this will be very useful to our customers as well.

There is one other company with similar technology that I also was checking, LinkSViewer.com I think the technology is by GroupScope and I am also will be talking to them now.
They have lots of good private company info around startups and VC's and can give you some very neat overview of the market you are you and who is backing it up.
